Jarred from bland, sullen solidarity
My chest ached in a longing hollow
It was a moment of sudden clarity
My heart, my love I must follow.
It was a misty night at a wedding
Among the crowd her radiance shone
My heart began a fervent fretting
No longer did it wish to be alone.
Alas I was forced to take my leave
And in doing so I reap what I sow
My heart has not stopped grieving
But my love for her continues to grow.
I recall a calm as she danced and twirled
For everything finally felt right in the world.
